Spring 2017
Here is a list of the upcoming Fall/Winter activities for the church (kids, teens, and adults).

  • Change for Life: This is the annual fundraiser for Embrace (formerly the Pregnancy Crisis Center, click on the link to learn more about Embrace). Pick up a Baby Bottle in the foyer. Fill them with your change, money, checks…whatever you want to donate. Bring the bottles back by Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18th
  • Drive-In Movie Night: Friday, May 26th, 7:45 to 10:00pm. All K-5 grade students and their parents/siblings are invited to join us for our 2nd Annual Drive-In Movie Night on the backyard lawn. Bring your own snacks/drinks and blankets/chairs. The movie which is TBD (but probably a classic Disney movie) will start by 8:00pm.
  • Promotion Sunday: Sunday, June 4th. The new Kindergartners will move up to the Observatory and the new 6th graders to the Middle School youth group. There will be a short ceremony during church this week. Come and cheer on our graduates.


Church Interest Groups that Meet on a Monthly Basis. These can be for kids, teens, and adults.

  • GPU – Glenn Park University: Every Wednesday Night, 6:30 to 8:00pm. Taking a break during the summer. GPU will resume in the Fall. When we resume, there are activities for K thru Adults.
  • Nimble Thimbles: 1st and 3rd Wednesday’s, 1:30pm. This new group begins meeting Wednesday, April 19th. If you are interested in quilting or learning how to quilt, you are invited to join this group.
  • Recycled Teen’s Bible Study:2nd Wednesday, 1:00pm. This Bible Study resumes May 10. Don Fifer will be leading a study on the book of Genesis. The group meets in the Fireside Room.
  • Fantastic Friday: 3rd Friday, Time TBD. For all teens (Middle and High School). A time for the teens to get together and have fun. Summer events will be added to the website by the end of May. This is a great opportunity to bring your friends to “church” and see the love of God thru the teens and leaders.
  • Fellowship Breakfast: 3rd Saturday, 8:00am. Formerly the Men’s Breakfast. Beginning in May, everyone is invited for breakfast. No cost, but there is a donation basket. Breakfast is usually pancakes, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage. Come and join us for this early morning fellowship time.


Summer 2017
Here is a list of the upcoming Fall/Winter activities for the church (kids, teens, and adults).

  • Ronald McDonald House: 3rd Sunday, beginning in June. Join other ladies from the church as they prepare and take a meal to the Ronald McDonald House. Contact Connie Parrott if you’d like to help.
  • June Spectacular Sunday: Sunday, June 4th, 12:30 to 2:30pm. After promotion Sunday and church, all the K-5 graders and their parents/siblings are invited to join us at the Osage Splash Pad and Playground for lunch and a time to just hang out and get wet. Bring a sack lunch, swimsuit and towel. And don’t forget sunscreen!
  • Summer Camp at King Solomon: If you have a child, niece, nephew, grandkid, or family friend who would like to attend church camp, contact the church office for a registration form. A $25 deposit is due at the time of registration. Total cost of the camp is due on April 23, 2017. Payments may be made until then and the church office will provide a receipt as payment is made.
    • Day Camp (Kindergarten) – June 30, $30
    • Senior High – June 5th to 9th, $190/$210
    • 3rd/4th #1 – June 11th to 13th, $90/$105
    • 1st/2nd #1 – June 15th to 16th, $70/$80
    • 5th/6th #1 – June 19th to 22nd, $160/$176
    • Junior High – June 16th to 30th, $190/$210


Fall 2017
Would you like to join this group from GPCC and friends to see the sights of Branson at the Christmas season? Plan to join us November 9 to 12, 2017. We will see The Miracle of Christmas at the Sight & Sound Theater, visit the Christmas Wonderland at King’s Castle Theatre, have a Christmas on the Trail Dinner and Show at Shepherd of the Hills, see the All Hands on Deck! Show at the Dutton Family Theatre, shop at the Tanger Outlet Mall, and see the show and have dinner on the Branson Belle. The price of $560 per person for double occupancy and $710 for single occupancy includes transportation, hotel, breakfasts, lunches, and dinner. You will only have to buy one lunch on our way home. If and when church services are cancelled, the cancellation will be announced on the GPCC FACEBOOK PAGE and on the Local TV STATIONS.
